I’m Amanda, and I am a composer.
My work lives where intuition meets precision— coming from a classical music background, I create sonic worlds that are both carefully crafted and emotionally resonant, bridging traditional composition with modern sound design.
For me, composing is not just about writing music—it’s about shaping atmosphere, rhythm, and feeling into something that can carry a narrative. Whether for film, visual media, or standalone projects, I approach each piece like a living environment: built with intention, texture, and depth.
I'm fascinated by the tension between old and new. I begin with pen and paper, letting the music breathe through silence and structure, before introducing it into the electronic realm. I combine digital tools with analog warmth to create soundscapes that are immersive, layered, and distinctly mine.
As a woman, I represent less than 3.9% of full-time professionals in the music industry. That small number shapes how I work, how I listen, and what I stand for. (source: 🔗 USC Annenberg Report on Inclusion in the Music Industry (2022)
I began studying music at age 4 in Northern Lapland, surrounded by silence, wilderness, and seasons that speak in extremes. From there, I followed a path through Berlin (Hanns Eisler), Leipzig (Felix Mendelssohn - Bartholdy Music College), and Lisbon (Escola Superior da Música da Lisboa) where I graduated with a postgraduate degree in July 2025.
These places—Lapland, Berlin, Lisbon—are not just locations. They’re languages. They are spaces that breath through my music.
If you're a filmmaker, visual artist, or creative looking to collaborate with a composer who combines classical craft with emotional intelligence and experimental edge, I’d love to connect.
